Elliot Brown lectured on the subject of theater law on three occasions in the past ten days.
On February 5, he spoke in New York to 25 aspiring theatrical producers as part of the Commercial Theatre Institute’s 14-week comprehensive program on producing in the commercial theater. His topic was author and underlying rights agreements.
On February 12, Elliot spoke in Miami to undergraduate theater management students at the University of Miami on theatre contracts and the role of the lawyer in theatrical production.
On February 14, Elliot spoke in New York at Columbia University to a class of law students and theatre management students, where he discussed royalty pools and author agreements in the theater.
