Neil Rosini to Speak at BAFTA New York’s Breakfast Bytes

On Wednesday, February 28, Neil Rosini will present an overview of legal subjects that online series producers, podcasters, app makers and bloggers ought to know about at Breakfast Bytes presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts – New York. This seminar is part of BAFTA’s ongoing series featuring experts from digital and interactive media.

The 45-minute presentation will briefly review the basics of defamation, copyright, and privacy/publicity rights, including fair use of copyrighted clips, code, text and graphics; the ins and outs of appearance releases; best practices for telling stories about real people and events; and how to avoid legal claims for defamation.
